Comfort Meets Sustainability

Merino wool is a renewable resource, making it one of the most sustainable fabrics available. With access to grass and water, their fleece naturally regenerates each year, providing a continuous and sustainable source.

Feel good about dressing your family in Simply Merino

Temperature Regulating

Merino wool naturally insulates in the cold by trapping air and keeps you cool in the heat by absorbing and releasing moisture.

Incredibly Soft

Merino wool is soft because its ultra-fine fibers—typically 18–24 microns—are smoother and gentler against the skin than regular wool.

Machine Washable

Merino wool’s naturally crimped fibers and smooth surface help it retain shape and resist shrinking, especially when washed gently with cool water and a wool-safe detergent.

Wicks Away Moisture

Merino wool keeps you dry by wicking moisture away from your skin and absorbing it into the fibers without feeling wet.

Hypoallergenic

Merino wool naturally wicks moisture and resists bacteria and dust mites, helping reduce allergen buildup.

Naturally Fire Resistant

Merino wool is naturally fire-resistant, thanks to its keratin-rich fibers and moisture content, which cause it to smolder rather than ignite.

Durable

Merino wool is durable because its fine, strong fibers are naturally elastic, allowing them to bend without breaking.

Biodegradable

Merino wool is fully biodegradable—cut it into small pieces and compost in soil, where it naturally breaks down within 12 months and enriches the earth.

Loving the tank top

I’ve had a few hit or misses with merino wool from other brands, but I really love the tank top I bought from simply merino. It looks nice, not cheap looking at all. I sweated while wearing it and it doesn’t have any lasting odor. I would love to try a few more pieces from simply merino.

Favorite

I hesitated purchasing the waffle material but it quickly became my favorite shirt of all my wools! It is so soft and flattering!

Great fit!

Just wore it for the first time. Really wonderful. I love the waffle fabric, which manages to be cozy even in warm weather because it doesn’t lay right against the skin. I ordered down, as a person with a 40H chest, because I wanted it to be quite fitted. At 5’2” it is perfect in an XL for this purpose. Got some salad dressing on it, and a 15” soak in Soak enzyme wash took it away. Ochre is a beautiful rich color!

Plush

I love this tank! I bough a size small. I typically “waffle”-ha! between size XS and S at Simply Merino. The fabric is amazing to sleep in, I’m a breast feeding, (read: leaky), mama. In this shirt I feel dry all the time. The waffle pattern hides any food or milk spills really well. And I’m now a converted fan of the black marle color. The arm holes and neckline are just right, be aware that it does scrunch up in the wash, though it’s not hard to reshape.

Stretchy waffle comfort!

The tank is quite comfy. I absolutely love the waffle material. Wish it wasn’t quite so body con but the material is too nice to not keep.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store my wool?

If you are not wearing your wool regularly, we recommend storing it in a cedar chest or in a sealed Ziploc bag.

How should I wash my wool?

Always wash your wool on a delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. Never use bleach.

How do I know what size to order?

Each product page contains a Size Chart to help you select the correct size based on body measurements. If you need any additional sizing information, please reach out to our customer service team. We know that online shopping can sometimes be frustrating, and we are always here to help!

Do moths really eat wool?

Moth and other bugs do like to nibble on most natural fibers, wool included. If you suspect you have moths, we recommend washing your wool, air dry, then freeze to kill any eggs that may be present. Storing your wool properly will prevent damage from bugs.
