Comfort Meets Sustainability

Merino wool is a renewable resource, making it one of the most sustainable fabrics available. With access to grass and water, their fleece naturally regenerates each year, providing a continuous and sustainable source.

Feel good about dressing your family in Simply Merino

Temperature Regulating

Merino wool naturally insulates in the cold by trapping air and keeps you cool in the heat by absorbing and releasing moisture.

Incredibly Soft

Merino wool is soft because its ultra-fine fibers—typically 18–24 microns—are smoother and gentler against the skin than regular wool.

Machine Washable

Merino wool’s naturally crimped fibers and smooth surface help it retain shape and resist shrinking, especially when washed gently with cool water and a wool-safe detergent.

Wicks Away Moisture

Merino wool keeps you dry by wicking moisture away from your skin and absorbing it into the fibers without feeling wet.

Hypoallergenic

Merino wool naturally wicks moisture and resists bacteria and dust mites, helping reduce allergen buildup.

Naturally Fire Resistant

Merino wool is naturally fire-resistant, thanks to its keratin-rich fibers and moisture content, which cause it to smolder rather than ignite.

Durable

Merino wool is durable because its fine, strong fibers are naturally elastic, allowing them to bend without breaking.

Biodegradable

Merino wool is fully biodegradable—cut it into small pieces and compost in soil, where it naturally breaks down within 12 months and enriches the earth.

Fave!

Where have wool bathing suits been all my life!?

Like the high-waisted underwear but sturdier.

I have countless pairs of the high-waisted underwear, but I like the swim bottoms even better. The double-thickness is sturdier and they're so comfortable to wear, in or out of the water.
The thing that always amazes me the most is that merino isn't any hotter to wear in summer than any other fabric (and I'm talking 30-35 Celsius), but it also keeps you warm in cool/cold weather. Every Simply Merino garment I own is an all-seasons piece which provides great value for the price.

Love!

I bought black swim bottoms for a 6 day vacation in the Bahamas. I pretty much wore them all day everyday because we just went to different beaches each day and snorkeled and swam and layed on the beach and then cooked when we got back, still in our swimwear! Each night I hand washed them and hung them on a hanger and they were dry by morning so I could wear them again! They didn't hold on to any ocean smells and dried so much faster than traditional swimwear! I also liked that these were thick enough to not show through. I will never wear anything else! I'm so glad to never have to put on damp cold synthetic swimwear again.

I won’t wear anything else

You know that feeling of a wet bath suit on your skin? Kinda clammy and sticky? This swim bottom has none of that, it looks good and feels great.

My favorite swimsuit

Greetings Thank you for offering the better fabric for whole body and ocean health. I am in the Pacific once a week and so far the suits are holding up.
Are board shorts and rash guards available? Love the earth colors and modest styles. 🌺

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store my wool?

If you are not wearing your wool regularly, we recommend storing it in a cedar chest or in a sealed Ziploc bag.

How should I wash my wool?

Always wash your wool on a delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. Never use bleach.

How do I know what size to order?

Each product page contains a Size Chart to help you select the correct size based on body measurements. If you need any additional sizing information, please reach out to our customer service team. We know that online shopping can sometimes be frustrating, and we are always here to help!

Do moths really eat wool?

Moth and other bugs do like to nibble on most natural fibers, wool included. If you suspect you have moths, we recommend washing your wool, air dry, then freeze to kill any eggs that may be present. Storing your wool properly will prevent damage from bugs.
