I got these in size 2 for our smallish 18 month old since it said size up, and I'm glad I did get the larger size.
As a knitter it was no trouble to handwash these, and from the instant they got wet there was an awful smell, much more like mothballs rather than wet wool, which didn't really wash out. Hopefully it's just the dyes or something that comes out in further washes.
It's nice that there are patching materials for the knees of pants, and that there is no unnecessary plastic packaging, but there are multiple large tags sewn into the clothing - large satin ones for branding, smaller satin ones for size, and crispy scratchy seeming ones for washing instructions, which I guess I might have to remove but I really hesitate due to the importance of washing instructions on wool items on the off chance somebody ever offers to help me do the laundry or they get handed down to a cousin. There are also MORE branding tags on the outside of the shirts, which are visible in the product photos and while starkly noticeable against the darker colours at least it's just a little sheep. There were also loose threads in my order, which is fine, but just worth noting.
There was no noticeable colour difference between the purple pajamas (Boysenberry) and purple dress (Gothic Grape?) which is okay since it's just pajamas, but I was hoping they could be mixed and matched and wouldn't be super "matchy matchy". Also worth noting that there was no noticeable difference in shape or style between the pajama top and the thermal top both in Size 2, I wasn't sure if there would be, and there wasn't, they look like they are cut from the exact same pattern and assembled the same way. I would have bought them way sooner when they appeared to be on sale in the summer, but the sale price never seemed to register properly, eventually I just bit the bullet and eventually bought them anyways because my kid sweats in polar fleece and I like to avoid dressing her in plastics.
